This site features the works of Ipswich based artist Karen Oberg and contains information about the program of art classes she conducts under the “Arts Unlocked” banner. In the online gallery you can see a large number of examples of Karen’s works which are available for purchase direct from Karen’s own Gallery 23 working studio-gallery. Also available are works by members of “Arts Unlocked” art groups. Works by Karen are also available from leading galleries including Gallery Newtown in Ipswich, Bella Arts at Springfield Lakes and Scattered Arts at Camp Hill.

Arts Unlocked Courses are are regular one or two day classes on weekends designed to provide participants the opportunity to gain hands on experience with new mediums and techniques. They allow people to experiment with a wide variety of art styles and explore what they would most like to work with more as they develop the artist within. A range of courses are structured for skill levels from absolute beginners to the more experienced person wanting to increase their knowledge.

Gallery 23 is the working studio - gallery of Karen Oberg. Located at 23 Burnett Street, Sadliers Crossing in central Ipswich, Gallery 23 will be open for public viewing on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 4pm commencing from February 2008. Visitors can meet Karen in her creative environment and view a wide range of original works in oils, pastels, watercolours and charcoal. Limited edition prints are also available. Gallery 23 can also be visited at other times by appointment.
